
Alexandru Solomon is a documentary filmmaker, cinematographer, producer and partner at microFILM. He is also a university professor in Bucharest, and the president of One World Romania Association. After starting his career as a cinematographer for fiction films in the 1990s and collaborating on experimental videos, Alexandru shifted his focus to documentaries. His feature films, such as “The Great Communist Bank Robbery” (2004), “Kapitalism” (2010), “Tarzan’s Testicles” (2017), have screened at major international festivals, reached theatrical audiences, and aired on television, exploring political themes through creative and hybrid storytelling. His most recent film is “Arsenie. An Amazing Afterlife” (2023), and he is currently in production with two documentary features, “The Archive of Archives” and “Small Expectations”.
